Slub Yarn (Ne)- 20 to 40 Sri Vishnu Shankar Mill's production volume of yarn has increased to 61.25 Lakhs Kgs during the financial year 2021-22 as against 44.25 Lakhs Kgs of last year, registering a growth of 39%. The increase in production was due to full utilization of machinery made during the financial year 2021-22.
The Company's focus on new product development, innovation, and cost-effective production has started yielding results. The sale volume for the FY 2021-22 stood at 60.53 Lakh Kgs as compared to 49.79 Lakh Kgs last year, registering a growth of 22%.
Sri Vishnu Shankar Mill is able to achieve growth in sale volume mainly due to the full utilization of machinery and good demand for yarn both in domestic and export markets. The sale value of yarn has increased to $ 283.65 Crores during the FY 2021-22 as compared to $ 176.36 Crores last year, registering a growth of 61%.
The yarn market in India has bounced back after witnessing a slowdown in the last 2 years. Geopolitical factors like the banning of imports from China by the United States and disruption in the supply of textiles and apparel products to countries across the world by China due to the shortage of electricity in their country boosted the demand for textile products including yarn manufactured in India.
Sri Vishnu Shankar Mill has made exported Cotton Yarn (including merchant exports) for a value of $ 102.93 Crores as against $ 42.44 Crores of the previous year. In addition to the regular International Market, the company's sales volume has grown considerably in new markets viz. Turkey, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Canada, United States of America, etc. where the company's yarn quality is well accepted.
